  • Handled inward movement of 10-11 lakh tonnes of foodgrains through rail and road every month to meet PDS requirement and requirement under PMGKAY (Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana launched during Covid-19) of 75 revenue districts of Uttar Pradesh.
  • A new record was created by inducting as many as 410 foodgrain rakes in Uttar Pradesh in a single month.
  • Planned and executed inter-state movement of surplus rice from Uttar Pradesh to Assam and other states in North-east India.
  • Planned and executed intra-state movement of surplus rice from western Uttar Pradesh to districts in Bundelkhand region and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
  • Regularized long pending cases of Storage Losses and Transit Losses.

  • Worked as Divisional Manager of Ahmedabad division of FCI in Gujarat. Ahmedabad Division had six godowns with a combined capacity of more than 1,80,000 tonnes during the said period.
  • Handled around 20-25 rakes of foodgrains every month to cater to the PDS requirement of sevevn (7) revenue districts under FCI Ahmedabad division in Gujarat state.
  • Managed around 110 staff (Category II and III) posted in Divisional Office, Ahmedabad and at various depots in the division.
  • More than 500 Departmental labourers (Handling & Ancillary) worked in Food Storage Depot in Sabarmati area of Ahmedabad. The labourers were pooled from different depots in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Labour issues were handled effectively and work was carried out smoothly. Capacity of FSD Sabarmati was 80,000 MT during the said period and 7-8 rakes were received at the siding located inside depot premises, on monthly basis.
  • Ensured that all statutory compliances were ensured in the division.
  • Also handled Personnel, Industrial Relation - Labour & Staff and Silo portfolio in Regional Office of FCI in Ahmedabad. During the said period, foodgrain silos (50,000 MT each) were sanctioned for construction at six locations in Gujarat. Was involved in monitoring milestones of silo construction, appointing Independent Engineer & Auditor, and raising issues for consideration before the State Level Committee (SLC).
  • Held meetings with Regional Labour Commissioner (RLC) for resolution of staff and labour grievances.

  • Co-ordinated with all the Regional Offices of FCI for preparation of All India Movement Plan which entails evacuating foodgrain stocks from surplus states of Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh etc. to meet the requirement of deficit states.
  • Handled movement of more than 1000 rakes (around 25 LMT) every month.
  • Worked closely with senior level officers such as General Manager and Executive Director on preparation of policies i.r.o. inter state foodgrain movement.
  • Prepared SRS (Software Requirement Specification) document of movement operations for launch of new software developed for depot operations; which is currently in use in FCI and known as Depot Online System.
  • Prepared MTF (Model Tender Form) for Forwarding Agent.
  • Co-ordinated with Ministry of Railways for settlement of railway claims, tracing of missing and unconnected wagons, punitive charges and other railway related issues.

  • Floated tenders on Central Public Procurement Portal for Handling& Transport Contracts, Internal Transport Contracts and Road Transport Contracts for FCI owned and hired depots in Maharashtra.
  • Executed around 40 contracts during my tenure in Maharashtra without any disputes and litigation.
  • Regularized storage loss and rail transit loss cases by fixing responsibility after analysis of each case.
  • Settled more than 800 railway claim cases lodged by FCI against railways.
