1. Rapid ethnography of breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices. 2022

  • Part of a research project conducted under the leadership of Dr. Monica Lakhanpaul from University College of London in co-ordination with Poornima University India.
  • The project focus on infant and young child feeding practices across the rural, urban and tribal setting in order to understand how infants and young children develop food preferences in the context of nutrition transition in India.

2. Global School Health Survey (GSHS)- by World Health Organisation in co-ordination with Poornima University, India, 2022

  • The project aimed to address data gaps in adolescent risk and protective factors and school policies. Aimed at improving the collection of information on adolescent physical activity.
  • Supported behaviour change through engagement of adolescent and relevant local stakeholders using health data for programming and policy formulation.

3. India Hypertension Control Initiative (IHCI)

  • The India Hypertension Control Initiative (IHCI) is a statewide program launched to tackle hypertension in Maharashtra through public health facilities, focusing on providing accessible, standardized, and patient-centric care.
  • The program operates with the goal of reducing the prevalence and impact of hypertension by ensuring that all patients receive appropriate treatment, regular monitoring, and lifestyle support.

4. Diabetes Control project under National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS), as part of National Health Mission (NHM).

  • The programme focusses on strengthening infrastructure, human resource development, health promotion & awareness generation for prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), early diagnosis, management and referral to an appropriate level of healthcare facility for treatment.

5. Healthy Food under Eat Right India campaign

  • The Eat Right India campaign aims to create a culture of safe, healthy, and sustainable food for all.
