SSE Steady State-ADC_EE Project

  • Working on user & Automated incidents for CPU/Memory utilization requirements (Increment/Decrement/Performance issue), swap alerts for Unix/Linux, space increments, ulimit changes, permission/ownership changes, Reboot activity incidents
  • Purchase the COD license code from the IBM Portal on a monthly basis to use the COD CPU for frames, then activate and extend the license days for frame level through the HMC (Hardware Management Console) with a change request to work with the doer-checker policy.
  • Also, I am sharing the monthly COD CPU usage report with management to purchase accordingly for the upcoming year.
  • Work on frame-level CPU increment/decrement activity through the HMC (Hardware Management Console).
  • Monitor memory utilization using the Athene tool when the user raises an incident or change.
  • Using the LPAR2RRD tool will monitor CPU and frame-level utilization, then check the utilization on the server side to know which process ID is consuming more CPU or memory, and then drop an email to the service owner.
  • According to confirmation from the user, we will act.
  • Generate various manual reports based on user requirements (Nmon/CPU/Mem).
