Worked in Material planning & fulfillment team and handled Caterpillar's top strategic Suppliers (IECC, MSSL, Wheels India, KHI etc) along with the interplant facilities to fulfill the global parts supply.
Roles & responsibilities:

- Accelerating parts supply from the suppliers to deliver service parts to the dealers across the globe.
- Releasing purchase orders, forecasts and schedules to suppliers and monitoring them on a day to day basis.
- Coordinating with suppliers for Sea and Air shipments and working with logistics partners for Air shipments approvals.
- Support critical NPI and CPI projects to meet project launch dates and providing them regular communications through inbound workload tool.
- Analyzing the bill of materials to decide the project launch dates (GW6 dates) and review the material need by dates.
- Monitor & work through schedule collaborations in MRC & ERP tools with suppliers to keep a track on current schedule to reduce past due schedules & improve shipping performance.
- Implementing risk mitigations plans through Control tower to recover the backlogs from supplier that has no line of sigh in the recovery.
- Represented my team in global review meetings & presented the team level overview of KPIs.
- Onboarded new suppliers and provided trainings to them as per the Caterpillar standards.
- Lead SPS (Supplier Performance standard) meetings with key suppliers to improve shipping performance & other core metrics.
- Order fulfillment: Monitoring dealer backorder, rate of fulfillment (Service fill rate, BO age & accuracy) & follow up with timely update to dealer through parts-viz tickets.
- De-expediting or expediting the schedules by reviewing the inventory levels & proactively expediting the parts that are anticipated with a good demand.
- Resolving the schedule and receipt discrepancies by coordinating with suppliers and inbound teams.
- Working with suppliers and category team to validate and align the master data parameters such as Lead time, MOQ & EOQ.
- Initiated & led projects related to process improvements that results in eliminating the duplicate follow ups.
