This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of the aromatherapy product QueaseEASE (QE) for decreasing postdischarge nausea (PDN) in patients undergoing outpatient abdominal surgery. The aromatherapy QE was found to be an effective treatment of PDN in select same-day abdominal surgery patients. As a result, the institution where this study was conducted still uses this product for outpatient surgeries. Other hospitals have begun using this as well.
