As an RS & GIS Expert, I manage and accomplish various tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to:

• SAR and Optical satellite data processing
• Raster data analysis - crop classification, crop loss assessment, flood mapping, sowing and harvesting date extraction, various other raster calculations, etc.
• Extraction of indices like NDVI, LSWI, FAPAR, etc.
• Crop Cutting Experiments (CCE) data analysis
• Crop yield modelling and claims computation
• CHF (Crop Health Factor) data matrix preparation for crop insurance claims for West Bengal under the Bangla Shasya Bima (BSB) scheme
• Quality checking of ground truth data of agriculture farms across Indian States and providing feedback on the errors in the data to ensure that data quality keeps enhancing
• Conduct training for Field Functionaries on SOPs to be followed while collecting ground truth points
• Soil moisture and soil grid data extraction
• Vector data analysis - includes georeferencing, editing of shapefiles, geoprocessing, attribute data editing, zonal statistics extraction, etc.
• Data preparation and valuable information extraction using MS Excel and Google Sheets
• Tender document proofreading
• Extraction of various datasets using Google Earth Engine
• Preparation of maps
• Report writing and presentations.

As a GIS Expert, I have worked on multiple tasks which include but are not limited to:

• Data visualization and image processing
• Crop classification and crop sown area calculation using optical and SAR data
• Extraction of indices like NDVI, LAI, NDWI, NDRE, etc.
• Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Evapotranspiration (ET) data extraction
• Generation of elevation profiles and identification of low-lying areas using the Digital Elevation Model (DEM)
• Slope and runoff calculation
• Drainage network delineation and watershed modelling
• Distance calculation to assess irrigation facilities for a farm or a village
• Flood inundated area identification, change detection, and mapping
• Drone data processing and analysis
• Proposed activity planning based on the image interpretation skills and field visits as per the MGNREGA permissible work list
• Generation of map layouts
• CROPWATCH (Crop Health Status) report preparation based on NDVI, rainfall, soil moisture, weather events, crop disease, etc.

• Worked as a Sales Consultant (Domestic), where I took care of the Sales Workgroup for the region of North India
• Attended pre-bid meetings for the relevant tenders issued by various government organizations
• Meet officials at pre-bid meeting venues and brief them about our products and services
• Contact and fix meetings with the officials of various organizations
• Cold calling and regular follow-ups
• Got satellite imagery business from some government organizations and NGOs
• Developed a great understanding of high-resolution satellite imagery products of Digital Globe and AIRBUS.

• Worked as Senior GIS Engineer, where I used to process and classify open-source satellite data in various LULC classes
• Recoding of extracted LULC data
• Georeferencing, rubber sheeting, attribute addition, etc.
• Quality check of digitized cadastral boundaries.

• Worked as Junior GIS Engineer, where I used to design the electrical network of several regions of Germany on the G-Technology suite under the project named ''Hoepfinger''. Later I got promoted to the QC team involved in this project
• Successfully Geocoded several areas of Delhi on Google Earth under Google’s HLG (House Level Geocode) project. Here my output was of exceptional quality, and I was highly appreciated for that
• Accomplished the LADOTD’s (Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development) Road Navigation project where I used to digitize roads and railway lines on very high-resolution satellite imagery.
