General Manager (Job Responsibilities)

• Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans for the hospital’s growth and development.
• Set performance objectives in line with business goals and healthcare standards.
• Analyze healthcare trends and adapt strategies to remain competitive.
• Oversee daily hospital operations including administration, clinical services, HR, finance, and facilities.
• Coordinate and supervise department heads to ensure optimal functioning across units.
• Monitor hospital workflows and introduce efficiency improvements.
• Prepare and manage hospital budgets, forecasts, and cost control initiatives.
• Ensure revenue cycle efficiency, including billing, collections, and insurance processing.
• Monitor KPIs and financial reports to ensure financial sustainability and profitability.
• Supervise recruitment, training, and performance of senior-level staff.
• Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, staff licensing, and accreditation requirements.
• Ensure compliance with national and local healthcare regulations, safety standards, and accreditation bodies (e.g., NABH, JCI).
• Monitor quality control processes and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee audits and implement risk management strategies.
• Ensure high standards of patient care, satisfaction, and safety.
• Resolve patient grievances and feedback constructively.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including government agencies, insurance companies, vendors, and the community.

• Supervise daily administrative activities including reception, billing, HR coordination, medical records, procurement, and general office operations.
• Develop and implement administrative systems, procedures, and policies.
• Monitor and improve administrative workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate administrative support staff.
• Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure high-quality service.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
• Oversee facility maintenance, safety, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, upgrades, and essential services.
• Ensure hospital infrastructure meets health and safety standards.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense control.
• Monitor procurement of office and medical supplies in coordination with the purchasing department.
• Track and approve departmental expenditures.
• Ensure administrative operations comply with healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policies.
• Maintain records and generate reports for internal use and regulatory bodies.
• Act as a liaison between hospital departments, patients, vendors, and management.
• Ensure smooth communication across clinical and non-clinical teams.
