I began with MCWA as a CNA, primarily responsible for caring for the residents I was assigned to, assisting in ADL's, personal hygiene, showering, maintaining clean bedrooms and ensuring linens are clean and beds are made.
Once I received my QMA license, I was trained on the carts where I was then able to be rotated and work both the cart and the floor, When on the cart I am responsible to ensure the residents are receiving their correct medications on time, obtaining vitals, doing creams, blood sugars, ensuring the narc are counted and correct, meds are ordered and the carts are stocked.
As a CNA at this facility, I was assigned to a group of 14-15 residents. I was responsible for preforming morning care, personal hygiene, cleaning rooms, making beds, doing showers on the correct days, obtaining weights, passing drinks and trays at meals, taking all linen to the laundry room and much more.
I left this position due to going on maternity leave.
As a DSP at pathfinders, I was primarily working in a supported living home with threee ladies. I was responsible for providing care, cleaning the home, cooking meals, doing laundry, as well as, helping the ladies do things on their own such as wash their own dishes, help with cooking meals, making their beds, help with showering and toileting as needed, reminding them to use the bathroom every two hours, and tracking bowels, meals, medications, and vitals.
