Job Responsibility:

• Responsible for the supplier quality and incoming parts quality of body shop sheet metal parts for new, as well as regular, platforms: BEV, New Scorpio,XUV 700, KUV 100, Bolero Neo, etc.
• Monitored the performance of CMM machines and implemented corrective actions as necessary.
• Quality planning for all incoming parts categories in A, B, C, and D class, exposure of incoming quality inspection planning.
• Analyzed part drawings and developed strategies for measurement plans.
• Manage manpower effectively, guiding teams to achieve quality objectives.
• Reduction in line and field issues by root cause analysis and speedy implementation of corrective measures to meet vehicle quality and productivity, without affecting organizational targets.
• Defect handling with CAPA closure in the form of SCAP, 8D, or other customized reports.
• Take appropriate actions in association with manufacturing, SQE, and PVT for the closure of field and internal concerns.
• Coordination with the CFT to resolve customer product audits, warranty issues.
• Line improvements to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
• Implementing, improving, and maintaining DWM, and quality systems in the department.
• Manage manpower effectively, guiding teams to achieve quality objectives.
• Component audit for critical parts, and closing of issues with suppliers.
• Quality status monitoring and feedback for the speed and effectiveness of corrective action taken in subsequent supplies.
• Supplier Audits – Process and system audits of suppliers, identifying improvements for ensuring desired quality, and defect-free part supplies.
• Data analysis and a subsequent action plan for the same.
• Defect handling with CAPA closure in the form of SCAP, 8D, or other customized reports. Systematic problem-solving approach. Preparing and implementing a supplier-wise annual audit plan to improve and evaluate the suppliers.
• Generate the Assembly Incoming Concern MIS, and publish the report and PPT for higher management.
• Drive proactive QA initiatives (Kaizens and Poka-Yoke) at the supplier end to ensure robust sustenance and continual improvement, training suppliers on various tools of quality during supplier visits.
• Supplier QRE management.
• Oversaw supplier quality assurance programs, including audits and performance evaluations, to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Developed and implemented supplier quality assurance plans in accordance with customer requirements.

Key projects:

• BEV, New Scorpio Project, from the design phase, and XUV 700 BIW, from the design phase to ramp up.
• Supplier part variability reduction project.
• Supplier rework reduction in TCF, resulting in productivity improvement.
• Improve the CTQ part, PIST, and CP, Cpk.

Job Responsibility:

• CMM Lab in charge for BIW and TCF shop.
• Comparison of the actual part with the released CAD, with measurement practices to ensure proper revision control.
• Develop CMM programs and scripts using best programming practices to ensure proper revision control.
• Calculate the PIST value of BIW for all models (cab) and critical parts.
• Major downtime-related problems are analyzed by checking the welding fixture online with the help of a portable Romer.
• Participate and contribute towards suggestions and Kaizen to improve product and process quality.
• Utilized mathematical skills and understanding of engineering principles to design new products.
