RezGain Integration (Hospitality domain client side project)

Project: RZ is a leading CMS for distributing (ARI) to (OTAs), and for collecting reservations from them.

Description:

RezGain (RG) is leading channel management system for distributing Availability, Rates and Inventory (ARI) to Internet Distribution Systems (OTAs), and for collecting reservations from them. RezGain product is currently being used by thousands of world’s well known hotels and chains. Hotel subscribers use it to maintain up to date information on their inventory.

DirectConnect is set of services for integrating Online Travel Agent (OTA) systems to RezGain. As availability and rates change, hotel would send updates using RezGain which will then process these messages and send updates to set of OTAs that hotel has subscribed to. As bookings/reservations are made by consumers, OTA would send booking notifications to RezGain.

Responsibilities:

Four faces should be needs to be done before testing: Contract, Initiation, Test property setup, Development.

Involved in Functional and Regression Testing, API Testing, Integration Testing, Database Testing.

Executed Test Cases and verified actual results against expected results.

Bugs reporting to developers using JIRA tool.

Engaged in daily scrum calls and meetings.

Certification:

RateGain will certify its partner integration through series of quality assurance (QA) tests. Testing procedures and the test cases would be published in advance to the partner for them to be able to verify the integration quality on their end. The RezGain QA team will check the following:

Production Pilot:

The pilot hotel is connected to DirectConnect. This connection will initially be monitored to ensure a successful integration.

Production:

At this stage, the integration is released to production and is generally made available.

Responsibilities: Designing of test scenarios/cases from the functional specification/process sheet. Maintain the test results after test execution and reporting and tracking defects.

Proficient in Functional, Negative, Regression, Adhoc, Security, Usability and Sanity testing. Liaise with developers to assist in recreation of issues, and to ensure that all fixes are retested in timely fashion.
