PROJECT : MADARAS PERIPHERAL RING ROAD PROJECT

• Design Coordination:
  Liaised with the design team to ensure timely submission and client approval of drawings. Effectively communicated on-site execution challenges, facilitating practical design revisions aligned with site conditions.
• Quantity Surveying:
  Prepared a comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for a major road project post client drawing approval. Coordinated closely with the design team to reconcile and secure final client approvals on the BOQ.
• Procurement Proposals:
  Drafted and submitted proposals for high-value materials and equipment to the High-Power Committee, aligning procurement schedules with site requirements and obtaining approvals from senior management.
• Team Development & Mentorship:
  Trained and mentored six Graduate Engineering Trainees across multiple functions including progress monitoring, contract and claim management, quantity surveying, and documentation, fostering professional growth and operational efficiency.
• Client Billing:
  Prepared monthly Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) for completed works in accordance with the contract agreement. Ensured timely submission and secured client approval to facilitate scheduled payments.
• Insurance Claim Management:
  Prepared and submitted insurance claims for losses incurred due to cyclone-related damages affecting the project. Coordinated with the insurer to provide all required documentation and ensured consistent follow-up to expedite claim processing.

• Bulk Material Reconciliation:
  Conducted monthly monitoring and reconciliation of bulk material usage against design quantities to identify and minimize wastage, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
• Progress Monitoring & Coordination:
  Coordinated with site in-charges daily to track work progress against planned targets, contributing to the achievement of monthly invoicing goals and project timelines.
• Claims & Variations Management:
  Prepared additional claims arising from design variations and proactively followed up with clients to secure timely approvals and minimize financial risk.
• Design Coordination:
  Collaborated with the design team to facilitate timely submission and approval of drawings by the client. Played a key role in obtaining revised designs by clearly communicating on-site execution challenges and constraints to the design team.

• Kerala/Tamil Nadu Border to Villukuri National highway road project: Responsible for planning and execution of highway works which involves payment layers and construction of retention system for both cut and fill locations.
• Technical responsibilities: Responsible for design and drawings coordination along with survey works for 3 projects.
• Job Quantity Estimate: Overall bill of quantity as per contract agreement and additional change of scope has been completed and finalised with Design team for internal costing and monitoring works.
• Sub-contractor Billing: Finalisation of earth work quanticies done by various sub contractors using 3D Civil Software.
• Change of scope proposals: Notifying the variations which is over and above the contract agreement to the client along with detailed quantity and cost estimate as per schecule of rate.
• Contract Management: Estimation and cos ting for additional claims submitted to client due to various factors. Responding to various petitions related to design through various communications. Filing insurance claims for damages due to na tural calamities.
• Procurement: Timely initiation and getting approval of high power committee procurement proposals for various items which are required to complete the works as per the targets.

• Mukkola to Kerala/Tamil Nadu Border National highway road project: As a site Engineer looking after highway construction works such as embankment formation, precast drain erection and high cut retention system (Soil Nailing).

• Site Construction: Internship in metro station building works.
