Accomplishments

  • Successfully investigated and controlled several epidemics/outbreaks, viz, Chicken Pox, Viral Hepatitis, Typhoid, Malaria, Pneumococcal pneumonia and Dengue.
  • Has made an audiovisual film on health education. The film is of approximately 90 minutes duration and covers prevention of various communicable and non communicable diseases.
  • A book titled “ Your Health In Your Hands ” has been written by the officer. The book runs into approximately 100 plus pages and covers in simple language prevention and control of various communicable and noncommunicable diseases; and also information on various medical administrative matters.

Additional Information

Closely coordinated and monitored the execution of over 100 medical camps in remote and inhospitable areas of Assam. Awarded fellowship of IPHA in the year 2006. Proceeded on deputation to United Nations Mission in Sudan from May 2010 to June 2011. Presently working with Indian Army as hithertofore. I will be retiring from military service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31 Jan 2026. I will be available for my next assignment thereafter.
