  • I have held professional expertise for 32 years and 5 months as a Professor of Soil Conservation. Handled responsibilities as an academician, researcher, extension agent, consultant, and administrator concerning natural resource management. In addition, I handled four ad hoc research projects (worth more than 4 Cr) as the principal investigator and co-principal investigator, funded by ICAR (NATP), the Sir Rattan Tata Trust, and the Sir Jamseth Ji Tata Trust. One of the projects, NATP, was declared excellent at the university level and rated 2nd best by ICAR, New Delhi.
  • Membership lifetime for more than six professional societies related to natural resource management. Member of the Academic Council of YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni (Solan).
  • Conducted research related to the field of studies, such as natural resource management, runoff modeling, soil quality, compacted soils, soil loss tolerance, conservation agriculture, watershed management, water management, rainwater harvesting and management, and published more than 80 research papers in journals of international and national repute. About 2 PhDs and 12 master's students completed their degrees under my supervision as major advisor. I remained a member of several committees at the department, college, and university levels. Member advisory committee of more than 50 PG students in the Department of Soil and Water Engineering, Agronomy, and Soil Science, etc.
  • Presented papers and participated in more than 100 conferences, seminars, symposia, and workshops at the international, national, and state levels.
  • Published several articles, book chapters, and manuals related to the area of expertise.
  • Advised students on academic issues and career paths.
  • Fostered relationships with industry professionals to create internship opportunities for students.
  • Designed several new courses in the discipline of soil science with respect to the 5th, 6th, and 7th Deans' Committee of ICAR.
