Working in a testing team related to end to end testing of the bank's commissions system.

Responsibilities:

• Provide testing expertise for a critical application that calculates commissions for Aggregators and Brokers.
• Design and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of commission calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test data, and test environments to ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Identify and report defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues and improve application quality.
• Execute end to end tests by creating data which flows through various various systems like Mainframe, AWS and Varicent.

Worked as member of development and operations squad supporting the applications used by banking advisors in their daily interactions with the customers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new mainframe modules using PL/1, JCL and DB2.
• Provide L2 and L3 application support on a rotational basis including providing on-call support.
• Allocating tasks to junior team members and grooming to get them on par with the rest of the team.
• Facilitating as a Scrum Master ensuring Scrum framework adherence.

Client: Northern Trust

Technology: Mainframe - Unix

Worked as a member of development and operations squad supporting the bank's benefit payment application.

Responsibilities:

• Development / Enhancement of mainframe modules as part of L2 and L3 support by resolving the service tickets created by end users.
• Monitoring the daily batch and resolving the mainframe and unix job abends encountered.
• Ensure the daily production batch cycle is completed within the SLA.
• Mentoring and work allocation for junior team members.
• Creating daily and monthly status reports to be shared with the clients.
• Running the daily UAT batch and provide UAT support for the business team.

Client: Charles Schwab

Technology: Mainframe and Distributed Systems

Started as a trainee software engineer in a team supporting the offers and orders for the customers.

Responsibilities:

• Developing new mainframe modules and enhancing existing modules as per the requirement following agile methodologies.
• Analyzing the requirement and preparation of test plan, test cases and executing the same.
• Reporting defects and closely working with the development team through the defect lifecycle.
• Preparing Work Product Review Report and Requirement Traceability Matrix.
• Facilitating as a Scrum Master on a rotational basis to ensure Scrum framework adherence within the team.
