I am a licensed librarian III ( LBC006270) who became a librarian out of personal passion. I have been actively involved as a genealogist for more than thirty years and work withing databases, repositories, and archives to professionally document research. How I have gone from an air traffic controller to a librarian is a great story for an interview. My experience with the FAA has given me attention to detail, responsibility and a dedication to customer service. During my tenure at the agency I have taught, supervised, managed traffic at a national lever, participated in national teams to address problems with safety and efficiency. I also learned to work with difficult people, to support and train the next generation and to go the extra distance to ensure the best quality results. These skills when paired with my love of librarianship make for a well rounded and uniquely skilled candidate
