Currently working in Performance and Proposal department of L&T MHI Power Boilers Pvt Ltd which does the design and engineering of boilers and its auxiliaries for 660 MW and above capacity coal based thermal power plants.

Design & Development:

• Thermal design of the boiler including Metal Selections and Hydrodynamic Calculations.
• Designed the second (NTPC Tanda, NTPC Khargone, MPPGCL Malwa) and third generation (THDC Khurja, SJVN Buxar) of Supercritical and Ultra-Supercritical boilers. These new generation of boilers are more efficient and provide better performance as compared to the original first generation boilers.
• The new design of boilers have less BOQ, thereby optimizing the total costs which is key for winning the projects bids.
• Process engineering inputs to other disciplines of engineering including preparation of P&ID.

Performance Improvement & Troubleshooting:

• Completed combustion tuning of Boiler for improving plant performance (achieving rated temperatures, reducing NOx, etc.) and resolving the issues faced by the the customer.
• Conducted the Boiler PG test of various units (Jaypee Nigrie, Mahagenco Koradi, NTPC Tanda and NTPC Khargone PJ's)
• Study of plant operation data for identifying/resolving the problem which is causing issues and record them for use in future projects.
• R&M work and other issues being faced by customers with boilers not supplied by L&T MHI Power Boilers Pvt Ltd. Understanding the boiler design, study of plant operation data, Developed the calculation program to identify the required modification for improving the performance parameters.

Proposal & Estimation:

• Preparation of Bid document and submission as on schedule to customer.
• Finding out / highlighting the risk in the tender specification for technical requirement and project implementation point of view
• The bid document includes clarifications and deviations, technical writeup, datasheets, Guarantee Declarations, etc.
• Coordination with internal teams as well as external agencies for smooth completion of the bidding process.

Detailed Engineering:

• Executed complete cycle of projects (NTPC Tanda & NTPC Khargone),
• Completed the work from proposal stage to contract project including Basic design, approval of design documents, support during Project implementation and commissioning.
• Conducted the performance guarantee tests and demonstrating better performance as compared to the parameters guaranteed to the customer.

Business Development:

• Was part of Lakshya 2026 sub-committee team for making a detailed plan for the L&T MHI Power Boilers Pvt Ltd new initiatives in green energy (Solar, Hydrogen, SMR)
