I passed my MS ( General Surgery ) from Kolkata University ( then Calcutta University) in the year 1989 and joined Indian Railway Medical services ( IRMS/IRHS now)in 1990 as a surgeon through UPSC. I also did my PGDHHM course from Symbiosis Pune in the year 2008. Worked as Chief health Director in Medical Department , Western Railway Headquarters from Sept 2020 to Jan 2024. Before that ,I worked as Additional Chief Health Director in the same place from April 2016 to 2020. Before becoming Additional Chief health Director , i worked as a surgeon in Jagjivan Ram Hospital, which is a tertiary care Hospital of Western Railway from 2011 to 2016 along with administrative work. - Conducted analyses of cost-effectiveness of services and recommended changes as needed.
