Assist the nursing staff here in training patients how to do home dialysis, draw all labs, check vital signs, follow through on their care and assure they have everything they need to successfully complete their dialysis treatments at home. I also do an assortment of administrative duties and supply ordering for our clinic.
Consistently drew quality blood specimens from pediatric to geriatric, showing the utmost care and compassion during what can be a stress inducing event for some. Completed data entry for test orders, at times calling Dr offices for order clarification. Specimen processing, refilling stock and supplies, performing urine drug screen collections, glucose tolerance testing, and H. Pylori breath tests were all part of my duties.
Prepared for and initiated dialysis treatments, performed water quality tests, water room specs, mixing acid baths and bicarbonate solutions used in dialysis treatment.
