- I joined India Today as senior sub-editor in the year 2012, and after serving for almost a decade, I am now working as senior asst. editor for one of the prominent and revenue-generating websites of the India Today Digital Group. I am responsible for managing all the aspects of business for the websites India Today Information, ATC-NAT and India Today Education including content management, product training, news updation, social media marketing, SEO practices, allotment of work/team management, PR handling and coordination with different departments to ensure smooth overall functioning of both these products. My major responsibility is to update the India Today education website. The website is updated 24 x 7 by 20 team members working under my supervision. The website includes news, education features, videos, government jobs, current affairs and other similar sections. The website also has an interview section which includes interviews of prominent names in academics field and celebrities coordinated under my supervision. Being in the field from past 12 years, I have garnered contacts with well-known personalities in different genres, which helps me in getting perfectly sourced articles.
- Digital Marketing: Apart from looking after the editorial work, I also look after the digital marketing part of the website. The marketing part involves traffic-pulling, social networking, analyzing and generating traffic on website, and lead generation. I am also looking after the bulk sales of online courses by India Today which includes tie-ups with educational institutes and corporates.
