Project 1: Intel Graphics Triage (WINDOWS)
This project is to triage graphics issues related to display, media, GOP, content protection, graphics-3D (OpenGL, OpenCL, DirectX, Vulkan API), gaming for various Intel platforms like Ice Lake, DG1 (Discrete Graphics), Rocket Lake, Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, Tiger Lake, Lunar Lake, Pather Lake, and the role of domain lead in the ARL platform.
Responsibilities
- I have driven the graphics domain individually for multiple SKUs and taken on the role of domain lead in the ADL platform.
- Responsible for system-level triage, debugging and analysis of graphics with embedded C and C++, media, and display technologies (like Embedded DisplayPort (eDP), HDMI, and DP), content protection, graphics benchmarks, and gaming issues.
- Responsible for triaging issues such as display flicker, display corruption, panel detection issues on hot unplug and hot plug, video lag, flicker on hot plug, display blanking out, wifi testing and Netflix issues.
- Analyzing logs and providing initial analysis for further ingredient level debug.
- Regression testing of different graphics driver components like Display, media, d3d10.
- Capturing logs based on issues and analyzing the same and pointing out the faulting module. Logs: ETL, GPUView, LCS stream capture, HDCP verification using the MCP tool, PR3, Netflix, and OPM tester, analyzing memory dump during BSOD, LiveKernelDump during TDR, and app crash dump.
- I was involved in the task force and closely worked with the VPG team in debugging blocker issues.
- Basic knowledge of power and sleep states.
- Complete ownership of debug execution, tracking issues and reporting out debug summary
- Involved in the validation of all graphics-related TC’s, which involves a functionality check of media, content protection, graphics 3D, and display in the power-on phase.
- Have expertise in BIOS stitching.
- Worked with different graphics cards like NVIDIA & AMD
- Created test cases for BKC system integration team.
- Proactive interaction with client & other vendors.
Project 2: Intel Graphics Validation for Media (WINDOWS)
The project engaged in validation activities of Intel's next-generation graphics drivers. Functionality and compatibility validation of the graphics driver with different operating systems and platforms. Bug reporting, verification, and test document updating. Support the development teams in debugging the issues identified.
Responsibilities
- Involved in Intel Graphics driver functional validation for Cherry View, Broxton, Braswell, and KBL platforms.
- Functionality and compatibility validation of the graphics driver with different operating systems and platforms.
- Bug reporting, verification, and test document updating. Support the development teams in debugging the issues identified.
- · Media validation on different Windows flavors (Win7, Win8.1, Win10 ).
- Validated all Intel media graphics driver components: encode, decode, and CP.
- Clearly record and track issues/defects; proactively work to resolve and validate issues found during testing.
- End-to-end graphics functionality validation and triaging of graphics issues on various Intel platforms.
- Responsible for enabling functional requirements for graphics, media, display, and content protection in the power-on phase.
- Responsible for triaging all functional issues, such as display flicker, display corruption, panel detection issues on hot unplug and hot plug, video lag, flicker on hot plug, display blanking out, Netflix issues, etc.
- Closely interacting with the execution team and providing inputs.
- Responsible for identifying all functional issues in every BKC release.
- Responsible for creating a test plan for the BKC release.
- Get the requirements from the Dev team for each feature, and create test cases for domain coverage.
- Closely working with the Driver Development team to resolve bugs and track them until closure.
