Passionate Registered nurse with 29 years of peri-operative nursing experience......ranging from circulating, scrubbing, 1st assisting to specialty team leader, and being in leadership and management. Desiring to continue to use attained education and experience within a medical mission context, which offers new growth and opportunity, providing clinical challenge, and that involves working in a team environment.
- Fill the roles of circulator, scrub nurse, or 1st assist
- Assist with any duties within the central sterilization area
- Assist with putting supplies away
- Assist with preparations for the next day's surgeries
- Assist with training and mentoring new staff to the operating room at our facility
- provide the highest standard of care for each patient in my care within the operating room through the phases of the perioperative experience
- work within a cohesive team environment.....making good communication a top priority
- Duties include circulating, scrubbing, and/or first assisting (helping with the suturing) on any given daily list.

- Volunteer time.....to learn more about the OR......observation of all aspects of the patients flow, from going to get the patient with the nurse, all the intra-op aspects (patient positioning, safety, equipment, anesthesia, prepping, draping, what roles looked like in the OR, learning the surgical instruments and procedures by watching and listening......post op (OR clean-up)......prep for cases the next day....learning names of supplies
