Main Project features: The primary objective of this assessment is to Identify and assess the options for advanced treatment of wastewater and recovery and utilization of resources, such as biogas, biosolids and reusable water in the expanded Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palika area including the 110 villages, and to develop a regional strategy and plan for efficient and sustainable wastewater treatment and reuse.
Positions held: Team Member
Activities performed: a) Identified and summarized the characteristics of advanced wastewater treatment technologies, including international examples of application of these technologies;
b) Reviewed and assessed the potential for production of biosolids from the advanced
treatment technologies and suggested possible commercial utilization of these biosolids.
c) Assessed the potential to produce biogas and its proposed possible utilization for electricity production and/or commercial utilization for transport or other applications;
d) Coordinated with different team members and officials of Bengaluru Wastewater Utilities to collect data and finalize interim task reports
e) Compilation of final report and submission to PI.
2. Name of Assignment or Project: NMCG-TERI Centre of Excellence on Water Reuse

Main project features:
This Centre envisions to become a Globally recognized Centre, having interface between the policy makers, regulatory authorities, funding & financial Institutions, R&D, academia, knowledge and consultancy partners, technology developers & providers and end-users including the industry and ULBs in the field of Wastewater Treatment and Reuse.
Positions held: Senior Researcher/ R&D and Technology
Activities performed: a) R&D on improvement, implementation and integration of wastewater treatment technologies.
b) Writing Proposals, developing new Projects and Consultancy Projects,
c) Process Design, Operation, Engineering and troubleshooting of STPs, R&D experimentation, data processing and interpretation.
d) Content development, course design for capacity building, organizing seminars, Events Conferences etc.
3. Name of assignment or project: Study of Yamuna Frothing in Delhi
Year: 2024
Location: Delhi, India
Client: Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
Main project features: This study aims to identify the sources, nature, and extent of pollution contributing to foaming, develop strategies for mitigation, and explore alternatives to detergents and foaming agents that are responsible for this environmental challenge.
Positions held: Co-PI
Activities performed: a) Extensive sampling of 30 locations which included river stretch, open drains, dhobi ghats, STPs and ETPS. Analysis of 28 parameters to identify the source of problem. Identified area sources such as colonies, industrial areas, etc., contributing to the pollution load n the River.
b) Device Short, medium and long term Statergies for the policy makers to mitigate the problem.
c) Submission of Inception Reports and Preodical Reports to funding Agency.
d) Conduct meeting necessary to achieve the Scope of work
