Miguel Feris

I am hardworking and passionate in all projects that I take on. I also believe I am a relevant and cooperative part of any team. Throughout my life, I have played the roles of both a leader and a follower: Sports teams, summer camps, and school projects are some examples of times I have been on teams, most of the times I have succeeded in my task and learned from whatever experiences I could get from all activities I see myself involved in. I love learning new things and putting into practice the things I already know, in order to get better at them and continuously reinforce my skills.

I was in the Culver summer camps for three consecutive summers: From 2017 to 2019. In my last year, I earned the Division Leader position due to my abilities to lead and make decisions, but also discipline and empathy.

In my high school senior year, I played setter for the school volleyball team and we came in second place in the province tournament.

For the summer before starting my high school senior year, I went to Boston Leadership Institute summer camp, and I leaned to do CPR and First-Aid procedures in their Emergency Medicine course.

I am also a certified scuba diver by the company PADI.

I played setter for my high school volleyball team. I believe it was good practice for teamwork, communication, and working under pressure skills.

I used to do Scuba Diving very often back home in the Dominican Republic. My father has a boat and we would go to a small island nearby and practice there. This activity too requires me to be able to work under pressure, as if anything goes wrong you have to keep your cool and find a quick solution to the problem that is most immediate in the moment.

Snorkeling is also a recreational activity I did often back home, exploring different underwater locations and giving me a unique respect for wildlife and the ecosystem.

I played a lot of tennis throughout high school, and although I never competed, I really enjoyed the exercise and the fun and discipline involved in the sport.

Playing the piano is a beautiful hobby in my opinion as it i one of the most complete musical instruments. I really enjoy it and I am very passionate about music in general.

Table Tennis is a hobby I picked up recently and I have been getting a lot better at it lately.
