• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks:

- Engine overhauls and repair

- Transmission and gearbox maintenance

- Hydraulic system repairs and maintenance

- Electrical system troubleshooting and repair

- Brake system maintenance and repair

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and production, to ensure seamless equipment maintenance, and minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent equipment failures, reduce repair costs, and enhance overall equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts usage, and labor hours.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and maintain earthmoving machinery of TATA Hitachi, JCB, Caterpillar, and Volvo models.
• Supervise the mechanical maintenance department, ensuring efficient operations and minimal downtime.
• Ensure equipment availability and reliability for smooth vessel operations, collaborating with operations teams to achieve production targets.
• Prepare and present comprehensive maintenance reports, including fuel consumption, lube consumption, service history, greasing, electrical, and welding reports.
• Analyze equipment performance, discuss findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise a team of 40+ technicians and assistant technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Manage manpower effectively to improve equipment availability.
• Report to the Maintenance Manager, providing updates on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and safety metrics.
