Enthusiastic, eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Clear understanding of tasks and job duties. Motivated to learn, grow and excel in the industry.
As a TPS, my job duties involve but are not limited to the following:
- Training new scribes on implementing and establishing new providers. I have successfully trained a good number of new scribes on establishing new providers belonging to different specialties including Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, and Maternal & Fetal Medicine (subdivision of Ob/Gyn).
- Periodically auditing scribes that are working on established providers to check on quality and adherence to provider/organization specifics, and give them feedback on the same as well as communicate the same to the managers.
- I also provide training on transitioning established providers to new scribes if a scribe working on a particular provider resigns.
After getting training for 3-4 months, I started working as a Medical Scribe for an Internal Medicine Provider. I worked on this provider for about 6 months, after which I was transitioned to a Pain Medicine/Neurology provider. I worked on this provider for about 1.5 years before getting promoted to TPS/trainer position. Of note, the Pain Medicine/Neurology provider was a complicated provider. She was not happy with her previous scribe from a different location and requested change of scribe. She was then transitioned to me and I was able to meet her expectations and scribed for her for about 1.5 years before I was promoted as a trainer/TPS. Before taking up the position of TPS/trainer, I successfully transitioned the same provider to another scribe.
After about 15 years of experience in medical transcription industry, I joined Elico Healthcare Services to get trained for Medical Scribe. I successfully completed the training in 3-4 months and started my job as Medical Scribe. The new thing in the training was some knowledge of coding. We got basic knowledge of ICD and CPT coding.
I started my career in Medical Transcription in 2000 and worked in different roles in 4-5 companies. I worked on almost all specialties. Before switching to Medical Scribe, I was a Quality Analyst, which involved checking the files of transcriptionist for quality, clearing flags, correcting any errors before uploading, and giving feedback to the transcriptionist.
