Developed a framework for machine learning-based experimentation on labeled network traffic data. Implemented and evaluated five ML models across four versatile datasets to analyze performance and detection capabilities.
2. UG Research Project (Mar 2022 – Sep 2023)
Investigated unsupervised pattern detection on bit streams of encoded textual (ASCII) and ECG (IEEE 754) data using entropy and statistics. Achieved a 92% improvement in distribution detection accuracy over uniform baselines.
3. WorldQuant Alphathon (Aug 2022 – Sep 2022)
Designed and backtested quantitative models (alphas) for predicting financial instrument prices. Ranked in the Top 5% globally (Silver Level) in the competition involving real-world market data analysis and model evaluation.
4. Communication Networks for IoT (Jan 2023 – May 2023)
Built a portable pedometer prototype; trained a random forest regressor on gyroscope sensor data to predict step count, achieving 87% accuracy.
5. Shell AI Hackathon (Sep 2020 – Oct 2020)
Solved a Wind Farm Layout Optimization problem using a genetic algorithm with custom mutation and crossover functions. Ranked 11th out of 5000+ submissions nationally.
