Roles and responsibilities:

• Preparing a feasibility study (The feasibility study will be done for the customer part (checking part compatibility for the welding material, choosing the suitable welding technology (vibration, ultrasonic, hotplate, IR, hot gas, laser) based on the customer's budget, part size, part complexity, or availability of existing technology at the customer's location.) Checking the part for necessary design requirements for the selected technology.
• Designing: After internal discussion (optimized part orientation and necessary linear guides for intricate part features, position of sensors for part presence), a kickoff meeting will be arranged with the customer. The design will focus on easy access for the customer during mass production, and it will be easy for manufacturing. In designing, using surface modeling and part modeling, the fixtures will be designed. 2D drawings or 3D annotations will be created based on the region of the projects. Arranging a meeting with the customer after the initial discussion. Then, arrange a design approval meeting after completing the final design for the tool release.
• Releasing the 3D design of the tool, along with the required 2D drawings, in Windchill. The 3D CAD will be managed in Windchill throughout this entire process.
• Managing post-release design changes via Windchill.
• Managing the life cycle of the design in Windchill.
• Assisting in trials for the manufactured tool taken in-house or at the customer's place (checking for part fitment, followed by the welding).
• Creating a bill of materials for the design and communicating with the procurement team for standard parts purchase.
• Communicating with the customer and service team to ease difficulties during tool installation.
• Reviewing the designs of juniors and guiding them along the tool design.
• Conducting a knowledge-sharing session with Softcell (PTC license provider) for new features and updates in Creo.

• Design and development of new products, and enhancing existing products in sheet metal.
• Supported multiple projects involving tooling in jig and fixture modeling.
• Developed part models for various engineering applications.
• Produced 2D drafts with expertise in GD&T standards.
• Conducted structural design and 2D drafting for heavy machinery components.
• Established strong customer relationships, ensuring timely project delivery.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Develop 2D dimensional specifications for streamlined manufacturing based on CAT standards for mining trucks.
• Utilize GD&T specifications on drawings aligned with next-level assembly engagement and the manufacturing process.
• Developing BOM for assembly and group-level drawing
• Releasing the model and drawing on the Teamcenter.
