Mohit Nagpal

Mohit Nagpal is a mentor and guide to numerous start-ups. He executes operational and engagement strategies for the entire ecosystem community, including start-ups, investors, corporate, mentors, advisors, and subject matter experts. With a mindset focused on continuous learning and growth, Mohit is committed to supporting emerging talents and ideas. He has completed his Master's in Renewable Energy and serves as the Project Investigator of the DST-iTBI. He is also a mentor to several incubation centers, such as the Galgotias Incubation Centre for Research Innovation Startup & Entrepreneurs, Galgotia University, iHub AWaDH - IIT Ropar, COER University, and many more. Mohit is also a member of the Startup Task Force of Startup Uttarakhand.

DST-iTBI

Established the DST Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (iTBI) at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, securing a grant of INR 5 crore.

Startup Uttarakhand

Also established an incubation center at UPES with matching grant/financial support of INR 1 crore from Startup Uttarakhand.

AIM NITI Aayog

Successfully applied for and obtained approval for the Atal Community Innovation Center (ACIC) at UPES, Dehradun, through AIM NITI Aayog, aimed at supporting grassroots innovators with a grant of INR 2.5 crore.

MeitY Genesis Scheme

Led the approval process for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Genesis scheme, securing grant funding of INR 4.9 crore.

Mentoring

Mentored 100+ startups to date, supporting them through grants, access to funding, and networking opportunities

Partnerships/MOUs with TiE Dehradun, WICCI, IIT Ropar, AIC Nalanda, Headstart, and Zoho for startup.

Convenor @ IIC

Lead IIC activities, develop strategic plans, and manage resources to align with institutional goals. Oversee events, provide mentoring, and build partnerships while ensuring compliance and reporting outcomes.

• UCIE as a Nodal Agency: Screened approximately 50 startups and provided recommendations to the Startup Uttarakhand task force.
• Mentorship: Mentored many Startup Uttarakhand-recognized startup, raising close to ₹1 crore in grants.
• Startup Grand Challenge: Organized the Startup Grand Challenge at UPES in 2020, a flagship event for Startup Uttarakhand.
• Startup Bootcamp @ DIC: Traveled across various districts in Uttarakhand to scout startup ideas through the Startup Uttarakhand Yatra/Bootcamp.
• Grassroots Innovators Scouting: Identified grassroots innovators in Champawat under the BADP initiative.
