- Monitored the progress of ongoing Major Modernisation and Expansion /Greenfield Steel sector Projects costing more than Rs. 150 crores, being implemented by the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) under the Ministry of Steel ,through analysis of the delays and examination of the time and cost overrun of the projects by holding regular review meetings with Higher Govt. officials of Ministries and Chairman/Directors of CPSEs.
- Coordinating with Japanese and South Korean Steel majors to bring investment in India by encouraging them to set up a high grade steel plant in India.
- Monitored progress of 41 Public Steel sector projects comprising of Brownfield and Greenfield Projects costing around 1,27,786 crores. Out of which 27 Projects got completed worth 95,630 crores till June 2019.The completed projects will enhance the crude steel production capacity of Public sector Steel Plants from previous capacity of 15.8 MTPA to 31.7 MTPA.
- Coordination with other Ministries on issues pertaining to Projects in order to get the issues resolved through Inter-Ministerial Group meetings.
- PMC is the Nodal Point in the Ministry of Steel for Monitoring of projects which coordinates with PMO and Cabinet Secretariat through e-Samiksha and PRAGATI portal of Govt. of India.
- Coordinated with CPSEs for developing a web based Project Monitoring System(PMS) for monitoring of Public Steel sector projects.
- Coordinated with MECON, an EPC Consultant and Ministry of Railways for preparation of report on Demand supply gap analysis of Forged Wheels required for Railways and removed bottlenecks for setting up of Forged wheel plant of RINL (Project Cost 1683 crores) (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited) which will supply 100000 wheels per annum to railways.
