  • Coordinate and perform/witness all inspection activities related to pressure equipment during fabrication, assembly, and testing, and be a focal point for all Requests for Inspections (RFI).
  • Inspection of static equipment in the LNG regasification terminal, such as piping, vessels, vaporizer (ORV, submerged combustion vaporizer), insulated piping, etc. In compliance with API 510, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API 650, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Manages the execution of inspection activities for the static assets based on the strategies and schedules to minimize unforeseen asset failures.
  • Performing field troubleshooting on a daily basis or as requested.
  • Supervise or witness non-destructive testing (NDT), hydrotesting, and visual inspections.
  • Coordinating with Asset Integrity Engineers in respective fields in pre-project studies to review the performance of the existing equipment and improvements needed in the field.
  • Participate in field mechanical inspection, quarterly schedule inspection, and assessments.
  • Perform piping mechanical calculations, such as minimum wall thickness for internal and external pressure, branch reinforcement calculations, MAWP calculations as per ASME B31.3, hydrotest pressure, rating, and/or de-rating of piping circuits by following API 570, and fitness for service to evaluate flaws or damage, and determine if the piece of pipe is suitable for continuous operation by using API 579.
  • Review and propose NDT method and inspection procedures
  • Perform pressure vessel calculations, such as minimum wall thickness for internal and external pressure, nozzle reinforcement calculations, MAWP calculations, stability, and buckling calculations for vessels to be PWHTed, as well as the rating and/or de-rating of pressure vessels by following API 510 and ASME Code VIII Div. 1 .
  • Inspection of various static equipment, like pipelines and vessels, and determination of the remnant life of static equipment.
  • Preparation of ITP for welding for piping fabrication, valve inspection, and follow-up on the inspection steps as per ITPs by coordinating contractors, internal as well as third-party inspectors.
  • Supports turnaround preparation and execution based on the inspection strategies developed.
  • Develops, manages, and evaluates the inspection strategies as per RBI to ensure the static assets' performance.
  • Provides technical support to operations and maintenance through proper recommendations and reports.
  • Inspection of ORV coating inspection (eddy current testing).
  • Skill in material selection and component selection according to piping class.
  • Preparation of the valve inspection test plan according to API 598 and witness.
  • Inspection and calibration of PSV/TSV according to API 527.
  • Welder qualification and welding procedure selection as per ASME Section 9.
  • WPS selection, welding execution planning, and development of ITP for welding jobs.
  • Planning of TA jobs related to mechanical jobs.
  • Inspection of the vessel and piping hydrotest.
  • PMI of material according to API 578.
  • Spool fabrication as per piping class and isometric drawing.
  • Inspection of new fittings, such as blind flanges and weldable fittings. And follow up on incoming material inspection in stores according to company procedures and specifications. Reporting the discrepancies and noncompliances.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies to complete the Annual Lifting Inspection certification programs. For GFR compliance (statutory compliance).
