Summary

1. CIVIC LEADERSHIP PROFILE

A research scientist, educator, and mentor with over 14 years of experience at the intersection of livestock nutrition and climate policy. My research focuses on developing evidence based nutritional strategies to reduce enteric methane emissions from ruminants, a critical challenge addressed by the Global Methane Pledge. I am deeply committed to translating scientific research into actionable public policy to build sustainable, low emission food systems that serve billions of people who depend on livestock for their livelihoods. I am applying to the Civic Youth Forum 2026 (CYF2026) because lasting change requires more than scientific excellence, it requires civic leadership. This forum offers a unique platform to develop the governance skills, policy networks, and advocacy tools needed to translate my research into national climate action plans and community level impact.
