As a Sr. As a compliance associate in the Dangerous Goods wing of Compliance Operations, I was responsible for ticket management and Dangerous Goods Hazmat classification based on global transport regulatory bodies, depending on the region. Here are some key responsibilities typically associated with this role:

• Trained on transport regulations and various other transport regulation governing documents for Fulfillment Center shipments (Warehouse inventory inbound/outbound).
• Attended Vendor and Stakeholder Meetings, providing support for the North American Region, Europe, and recently expanding into Asia Market Places.
• Identified potential hazmat issues and focused on defect reduction, engaging with fulfillment centers to ensure the right packaging and labeling in accordance with International Transport Regulations for shipments across the globe. Troubleshot to address issues faced by warehouses during the receipt or outbound shipment of Dangerous Goods and inventory.
• Identified recurring non-compliant customs issues, leading to the discovery of misclassified units that resulted in saving customers thousands of dollars in customs.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal policies and procedures related to product compliance.
• Provide training to relevant stakeholders, including product managers, suppliers, and other teams, on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Conduct regular audits and monitoring activities to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and standards.
