Set up the Global Financial Reporting (GFR) Presence in India for BlackRock (BLK). Started with a Team of 2 in 2016 to our current headcount of 60 Full Time Employees and Contingent workers. Achieved cultural shifts and process change through tenacious determination and interpersonal skills.

• Hired and managed best in class employees to maximize productivity while ensuing they are trained on best practices and protocols.
• Identified breaks In Production, Human Capital, and Technology - sourcing and implemented successful solutions. Identified opportunities to improve business process flows and productivity.
• Established performance goals for and provided feedback on methods for reaching those milestones. Prepared annual budgets with controls to prevent overages.
• Applied excellent problem-solving, process development, and strategic implementation skills to lead and support all areas of operations.
• Lead the India Eco-System initiatives with Auditors (PWC / Deloitte, E&Y Delivery Centres and Fund Administrations as JP Morgan / CitiBank / StateStreet) centre of excellences to promote local hour collaboration.

Sub-Functions set up in India

• Financial Statement Review - 100% volumes for US Ishares / Canadian Pooled and Canadian Ishares responsibility within India. US 40Act funds and Collective Trust Funds at 70% Volumes. (Team oversees ~1500 Funds independently)
• Audit Confirmations - Audit Confirmation Process has been centralized in India for approx. ~2500 BLK funds. Working in Tandem with PWC and Deloitte's Global Delivery Centres.
• Regulatory Reporting - Team oversees all Filings with Global regulators i.e SEC for 40 Act Funds' N-PORT, N-CEN, N-MFP filings, OCC STIF filings for Collective Trusts Money Market Funds, CIMA filings for all Cayman Domiciled funds.
• Regulatory Filing Services - Include the Prospectus , Schedule of Additional Information and Invoicing for our distributors.
• Financial Reporting Support - The FR support team provides data and supporting files to Fund Admins to prepare quality FS. They also liaison with various team such as Performance, Legal, Tax and Portfolio Managers for SOX Sub-Certifications.

• Lead the Process Efficiency Drives across GFR globally and working in sync with internal Automation and Technology teams. My team has generated ~6500 hours of manpower saves till date.
• Single Point of contact for HR / Suppliers for Hiring. Vendors / Auditors and Fund Administrators.
• Secondary Business Contingency Owner for GFR.
• Single Point of contact for Campus Hiring's.

• Single point of Contact for India Tech & Ops India Enterprise Risk Framework.
• Initiated and now India Lead for the BLK Tech & Ops Buddy Program.
• India Lead for the BLK AMP Network (Asian Middle-eastern Professional Network)
• Core Working member of the VP Village forums and Out & Allies (BLKs LGBTQ+ network

Part of the core location strategy team to centralize business to India - the first trip included financial statements preparation and review while the second comprised of notes the the FS.

• Implemented quality control practices for each phase of business transitions. Reviewed processes, identifying areas requiring improvement.
• Collaborated with technologists to address operating issues and support rapid recovery.
• Plan, schedule, and manage the production of Quarterly /Semi Annual / Annual financial statements and daily work flow for multiple client relationships.
• Capacity Planning and Staff Alignment within the Process sub-teams, Root Cause Analysis on Errors/System Issues, Desk Management Allocation and Shift Planning.

• Computation of Individual & Proprietary Tax Computations

• Completed daily cash functions like account tracking, payroll, Petty cash, and banking reconciliations.
