• Die buy off activities at supplier end (static &Dynamic) review all tools designs for part manufacture and minimization of quality issues
• Repairs & trouble shooting of running progressive tools, gang tools & die casting tools knowledge for trouble shooting &cutting elements conversion to different models on same die set
• Connection with suppliers and identify potential requirement / capabilities VAVE ideas on blank size reduction and coil width reduction.
• Spare management & reviewing for refurbishment requirements for life in completion tools
• Responsible for maintenance of all types of stamping press Tool, progressive tools notching tools, die casting, etc.
• Monitoring of tool life's time to time with out effecting to production plans
• To co-ordinate with quality, maintenance and ppc team on day to day tool service section requirement &ensure tools availability
• Repair activities for trouble tools free production in press shop by arrange tools in time. Perform the root cause analysis and resolve problem in tools and fixtures
• Manage employees through training and multi skill development, resolving employee issues through problem resolution
• Solve production complaints and take corrective action on issues to avoid reoccurrence.
• Follow up of press tool / progressive tools / die casting tools trail.
• Keeping regular review with production team on daily / weekly & monthly production targets fulfilling through work load distribution in servicing section
• To monitor the tool performance and maintain the tool history record up to date
• Planning to achieve department goals and objectives as per set targets
• To discussion with tool development & tool room teams for new & existing tool improvement / productivity improvements with innovative ideas and kaizen etc.
• Ensure completion of the product part approval process in collaboration with current engineering and quality assurance team
