Roles & Responsibilities

  • 1. Resource planning & monitoring across various projects.
  • 2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to all staff engaged on the project
  • 3. Ensured the technical integrity of piping activities, producing, and maintaining piping deliverable in accordance with industry standards, codes and contract specification within schedule and budget.
  • 4. Lead the piping team to develop layouts and route piping in compliance with Contract specifications / codal requirements, considering safety, constructability, operability, and maintainability of the facility.
  • 5. Review and check 2d / 3d drawings such as equipment layout, piping layout, general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics, support plan and other drawings in accordance with client specifications.
  • 6. Responsible for all type of calculation (Thickness, Reinforcement Pad thickness, Wind load, Seismic load, Vibration analysis, PSV Reaction force, Blind flange thickness, Heat transfer, Surge Pressure Estimation, snow / ash load on pipe, buckling, deflection, Surge, Thrust force, Buoyancy, Thermal load, Pipe rack anchor bay load, Requirement of number of expansion bellow / Air release Valve, Expansion bellow tie rod sizing etc.) Technical specification and data sheet
  • 7. Review of Piping Material Specification (PMS), Valve Material Specification (VMS), Material Take off (MTO) for Piping, Pipe fittings & other bulk commodities Specification preparation, material requisitions, technical bid review and vendor drawing review of various piping components.
  • 8. Developing, maintaining, and tracking cost estimates in terms of material and engineering work hours for all stages of the project life cycle.
  • 9. Develop technical specifications, work contracts, procurement specification, fabrication, and construction specification for contract packages.
  • 10.Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for completion of vendor engineering activities adhere to the contract / Quality requirements.
  • 11.Conduct regular meetings with engineers / subcontractors / suppliers to discuss technical, procedural, and operational issues and work practices, and to formulate areas for improvement along with possible solutions.
  • 12.Support business development group and work in Proposal Engineering Projects
  • 13.Mentoring engineers to develop engineering management competence.
  • 14.Stress Analysis of piping systems for Static and dynamic analysis (Seismic Static Equivalent or Spectrum analysis / Water hammer analysis / Impulse analysis / Slug Analysis / FRP Pipe Analysis conforming to ASME B 31.1, ASME B 31.3, ASME B 31.4 / 31.8, ASME Sec III NC / ND / NF, ISO 14692.
  • 15.Evaluate Stress, Displacement, Forces, and moments on restraints for support design and Evaluate piping loads within allowable nozzle loads
  • 16.Measure the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, thermal cycle loads and wind.
  • 17.Select / Design the proper springs for necessary support.
  • 18.Select / Design Expansion loop or expansion bellow for layout requirement.
  • 19.Support design development of project by providing all necessary inputs to other disciplines in line with the timelines and expectations of the project
  • 20. Responsible for preparing and managing a schedule for piping engineering activities and deliverables, preparing estimates, preparing scope of services, preparing effort hour forecasts, monitoring changes on the project, managing the piping engineering budget and schedule, provide progress reporting, provide quantity trends and monitor quantities, coordinate with various disciplines.
