Dual Port RAM (DPRAM)

  • DPRAM is a type of random-access memory that allows multiple reads or writes to occur at the same time, or nearly same time, unlike single-ported RAM which allows only one access at a time. Dual port memory has two data/address ports, can read and write at same time using both ports. Dual-port RAMs can be connected seamlessly to any of the baseband or application processors in smart-phone devices.

THD based analysis of BLDC motor characteristics through the application of ANFIS PI, PD, PID controllers

  • The usage of BLDC motor enhances various performance factors ranging from higher efficiency, higher torque in low-speed range, high power density, low maintenance and less noise compared to conventional motors. The brushless DC motors uses power electronic switches for the commutation purpose, it creates the harmonics in armature current. On the other hand, Total harmonic distortion (THD) is the cumulative degree of distortion within an electrical current compared to the ideal. Harmonic voltage and current cause increased heating in rotating machines due to additional iron and copper losses at harmonic frequencies. Rotor heating reduces the efficiency and life of the machinery. In this work, we develop a mathematical model of BLDC motor and relate the technical parameters. The work is done through SIMULINK-MATLAB software environment.
