Currently, I am responsible for leading two critical functions: US Indirect Tax Operations and Control Governance.

1. US Indirect Tax Operations.

• Provide strategic oversight of the end-to-end Sales and Use Tax function across all 51 U.S. states. States, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and on-time execution.
• Lead the full Vertex tax operations lifecycle, from data management to return preparation, review, and authorization of tax submissions.
• Directly coordinate state tax payment activities, ensuring zero delays, discrepancies, or compliance risks.
• Own the governance of all business licenses and regulatory renewals, ensuring uninterrupted operational compliance for the organization.
• Drive process standardization and continuous improvement, maintaining up-to-date DOPs, and aligning practices with industry and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, auditors, and leadership to provide insights, resolve escalations, and strengthen overall tax governance.

2. Control Governance.

• Manage end-to-end governance of DOPs and SOPs for U.S. Indirect Tax operations, including Sales & Use Tax, Property Tax, and Withholding Tax.
• Review and validate DOPs/SOPs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards.
• Update and reformat DOPs for consistency, clarity, and audit readiness.
• Coordinate with auditors and control teams to present documentation and address queries.
• Negotiate and implement process improvements with control teams to strengthen compliance and operational efficiency.

Vendor Management

• Managed end-to-end vendor onboarding and maintenance in SAP, ensuring accurate vendor master data, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Oversaw vendor performance monitoring and relationship management, ensuring delivery quality and SLA adherence.
• Handled contract administration in coordination with procurement, including renewals, pricing reviews, and negotiation support.
• Ensured vendors met all regulatory, financial, and operational compliance requirements through periodic audits and documentation verification.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to resolve vendor escalations and enhance overall service performance.
• Conducted vendor performance reviews, tracking KPIs, and driving improvement initiatives.
• Supported cost optimization by analyzing vendor spend in SAP and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
• Maintained up-to-date SOPs/DOPs and ensured alignment with procurement and legal policies, while coordinating timely invoice processing and issue resolution in SAP.

Corporate Card Process

• Oversaw the end-to-end Corporate Card program, ensuring efficient processing of all paper and digital applications, while maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
• Served as a key point of contact for employees, driving effective communication to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and enhance the overall cardholder experience.
• Led knowledge transfer and training initiatives for new team members and offshore partners, strengthening process consistency and operational readiness.
• Championed a culture of service excellence, ensuring the delivery of timely, high-quality support in alignment with established SLAs.
• Developed and governed detailed operating procedures (DOPs) to standardize corporate card operations across regions, and support continuous process improvement.
• Oversaw the preparation of the monthly Charge-Off analysis, ensuring proactive management of outstanding card balances, and financial risk mitigation.
• Monitored team performance through daily productivity reporting, leveraging insights to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.

Travel and Entertainment Process.

• Managed compliance for Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expense reports in TEEMS and Concur across multiple regions.
• Delivered accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
• Consistently met defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by ensuring high-quality internal customer service.
• Oversaw task allocation within the team, maintaining balanced workload distribution and operational efficiency.
• Presented performance results to management weekly and monthly, emphasizing trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Developed and updated detailed operating procedures (DOPs) for T&E processes across various locations.
