Managing high volume cardiology out patient clinics twice weekly,averaging 70 patients per shift.
Assessing and diagnosing patients with suspected cardiovascular diseases and implementing an adequate treatment plan.
Interpreting 70 + ECGs and 5+ ambulatory ECG recordings per out patient clinic duty.
Performing 15 + transthoracic echocardiograms of patients with various cardiovascular diseases ,including ischemic heart diseases, valvular heart diseases and congenital heart diseases,daily.
Assisting senior cardiologists in performing 2 + transesophageal echocardiograms weekly.
Assisting senior cardiologists in performing invasive cardiovascular procedures such as temporary pacemaker insertions and pericardiocentesis .
Admitting and treating patients as per hospital's 24 hour on call services.
Attending to and providing medical care for 10 patients in the cardiology intensive care unit and 18 patients in the cardiology ward per shift.
Managing and providing post procedure medical care for 15+ admitted patients who have undergone invasive cardiovascular procedures such as percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and stenting, pacemaker insertions, AICD insertions and balloon mitral valvuloplasty.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals such as junior resident doctors,nurses,technicians to ensure optimal patient care.
Provided prompt diagnosis of acute conditions using advanced diagnostic tools such as imaging studies or laboratory tests in order to initiate necessary interventions swiftly.
Providing emotional support to patients and their family members.
Continuously updated clinical knowledge through continuing medical education courses and attending conferences or seminars related to the field of expertise.
