Software Engineer

Project Details : Customer Service workstation application is mainly used by Lincoln & Lincoln call center. A call center representative uses this application. User calls the call center representative to get information on a particular contract with respect to the riders or to do a financial transaction or an update. The call center user confirms the identity of the user and refers to CSW for the information requested. Various screens provide information on basic details requested by the user. The Policy information are retrieved from admin systems like FM Vantage, Fusion Vantage, APS,RPS,Life 70.

Roles :

• Understanding the legacy CAGEN code and specifications provided by the solution architects.
• Implementing the necessary capabilities or integrations in the migrated system by writing the COBOL code.
• Working together with system administrators and testers as well as other team members to guarantee a seamless deployment and transition.
• Taking part in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to find and fix problems while migrating.
• Following version control procedures, coding standards, and other project-specific development rules.
• Documenting the components, including code changes, and any technical challenges encountered during the migration.

Associate Software Engineer
Client : Transamerica Life Insurance.

Transamerica Insurance is an Insurance company based in US which provides Life Insurance, Traditional Life, Universal Life, Variable Universal Life, Annuities, and other Insurance services. DXC Technology India would be providing Production support and Maintenance services to Transamerica for some of their software systems.

• Supporting the developed applications and making modifications within these applications, as and when necessary
• Analysing requirements and coming up with impacted elements
• Preparing design document based on impacted elements
• Developed and enhanced batch programs using COBOL and debug with Expeditor

The objective of the System Operation Manual is to provide members of the maintenance and support teams with an overview of the SNSP application and carrying out operation services. The System Operation Manual
describes the function of the application, the structure of the applications, the application configuration, and the technical environment. (both application and infrastructure) will keep the System Operation Manual current throughout the life of the SNSP application.

Role :
