  • The current process for cases is a manual intensive process with higher turnaround time and not standardized. Various teams across departments that are involved in the end-to-end process are required to navigate through multiple systems as part of the data capture, case investigation and verification process. The system does not accommodate necessary information to enable the complaints handler to effectively resolve the case, nor for effective root cause analysis in order to prevent such issues from re-occurring for other customers.
  • BOC is being re-written onto a new Java framework to use AMOL instead of BEM. The new application is called BSA. The requirement is to redevelop the Case management functionality on BSA. implementation is for 8 African countries.
  • Digital Sales Platform: There are currently multiple disparate sales platforms which are complex and expensive to maintain that lead to a disjointed customer experience with process inconsistencies and inefficiencies. Similar sales process are defined and implemented per channel and per product and not optimized for self-service and mobile.
  • The new Digital Sales Platform will be an integrated customer centric platform supported by the following: Omni channel strategy, Mobile first strategy, Improved Customer experience with straight through processing, Cost savings with reusability of common on boarding capabilities.
  • Projects delivered so far: Ultimate banking on boarding for New to bank customer and New to product customer with extended credit facility, salary and debit order switching from other bank to the new ultimate account.
  • DB2 to PostgreSQL Data migration.
  • Transact Account: Implementation of transact account on DSP with IDNV.
  • Angular 9 migration: Migration of the application from Angular 5 to Angular 9.
  • IDNV Cheq : implementation of Identification and verification in the journeys of NTB cheque products.
  • UPL: Offering Personal Loan for customers through OSF.
  • PVT Bank PL & OD: Offering Pre approved Personal Loan and overdraft for PVT bank customers through AOL VCL gadget.
  • AOL Express: Is a rebuild of AOL which includes technological renewal, user interface enhancement and a host of new services and functions added.
  • NCA: In the South African market guidelines have been set up via the NCA to ensure that the consumers are fairly and correctly assessed to avoid over-indebtedness.
  • PL Rewrite: To improve customer experience by addressing usability requirements both from a contact Centre (BSSA) and AOL perspective. Reduce the current inefficiencies in the fulfillment process in by ensuring that the tracking file data contains all the relevant and required fields for fulfillment.
  • Rand zero OD: customer should be able to create a cheque account even if he is no qualified for OD.
  • PCA: For AOL registered customers need to accept the Personal client agreement before doing any payment or applying for any products.
  • Express: ABSA Online is the internet banking portal for ABSA Bank, South Africa. The existing AOL portal for the Bank is being converted into the new portal AOL Express which integrates more extensive functionalities and newer technologies.
