Top pad analysis for different turbine models: Stress and pressure distribution calculated over top pads for normal and extreme load conditions. As it is high in some regions, we induced tilting of pads to ensure uniform distribution. We consider 0.5 mm, 1 mm, and 1.5 mm for tilting of pads from the top side (removing material from the top side) and extracted the results for that, optimizing the tilt for a uniform distribution of stress and pressure for the long life of the pads.
Transformer platform calculations: Updated the platform design for the NG13 turbine modal, verified that design in ANSYS software, and sent it for prototype testing.
Ultimate limit state calculation for the Air Filtration Unit: To check all components and bolts for passing under different operational and transportation load conditions, and to modify some components as per requirements.
Exhaust platform design calculation: Optimized platform geometry by considering material costs and usage.
De-icing plate calculation: I performed a structural calculation to confirm the design and suggested ideas to avoid failure without changing the design, as it was in the production phase.
