Work History

Electrical Engineer

V2X
05.2023 - Current
  • Defined requirements and designed test Circuit Cards in Altium which completely automated the testing process of several PCBs in a mission critical airborne application
  • Incorporated DC-DC converters, protection circuitry, UART-USB chips, ethernet PHYs, MIL-STD-1553 and RS422/232 communication in the CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) schematic designs
  • Incorporating an AC-DC converter, a monitor and a military rated computer for a customer test set used to verify operation of a critical piece of an aircraft
  • Designed, programmed, and tested PCBs (using Arduino C++) for ground military applications
  • Led a project as the main engineering lead to replace a camera system in a military ground vehicle and held a demonstration in the customer site
  • Lead several CCA failure investigations and documented technical reports for the solution

Hardware Engineer

Carrier - Edwards Fire and Safety
05.2021 - 04.2023
  • Designed a class D audio amplifier PCB (in Mentor Graphics) to meet certain specs and ULC/UL requirements to be used in fire panels in commercial buildings
  • Designed a loop controller PCB with multiple features (current limiter, short/open circuit detection, etc) to drive alarm initiating devices such as strobes and horns
  • Incorporated audio CODEC, MCU, switching regulators (isolated DC-DC buck), CAN communication and protection circuits into PCB designs
  • Utilizing lab equipment such as oscilloscope, power supply, signal generator, audio and spectrum analyzer and others for testing
  • Visited 6 customer sites to fix/debug their hardware issues in their fire panels
  • Worked alongside senior engineers to test and improve conducted/radiated EMI issues

Undergraduate Research Assistant

USF EE Department
11.2019 - 12.2020
  • Created over 50 transistors using semiconductor materials other than silicon and tested their functionality under different conditions
  • Increasing knowledge of laboratory equipment such as Kethly, Potentiostat, and solar simulator to measure different characteristics of transistors made in the lab

Electrical Engineering Intern

National Security Innovation Network
06.2020 - 08.2020
  • Designed a prototype wearable device for Navy sailors which helped with contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Utilized electronics such as Arduino Nano and BLE modules for the wearable device and printed the PCB using KiCAD software
  • Created a local server using TinkerBoard S connected to a database to keep logs of all interactions between devices
