Mercedes Benz (MBUSA) – Currently working in the backend of an application called VISTA (Vehicle Information Sales Tracking and Analysis), which integrates several MBUSA business applications such as ordering, shipping, inventory management, inventory reporting. VISTA supports corporate, regional, marketing, and dealer efforts by providing direct access to all current MBUSA databases.

Roles and responsibilities :

• Developing new and modifying existing COBOL programs, JCL's.
• Identifying issues, analyzing information, and providing solutions to problems.
• Involving in coding and enhancement of COBOL programs and testing changes and implementing in Production. Good with IBM utilities.
• Guiding freshers joining the project.
• Interacting with clients and onsite leads for a better understanding of issues.
• Understanding configuration of systems to meet project deadlines and supported in flexible times.
• Attending regular team meetings to discuss project changes.

American Express (AMEX) is a Finance company. Here, I got hands-on experience in logical decommissioning, which can be done in four stages (say) Identifying the components present in the application, understanding the source of data, analyzing the job's functionality, and coordinating with business units for de-commission.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Involved in coding, job testing, and fixing abends.
• Understood requirements and developed Edge Reports using Eazytrive programs.
• Prepared project specifications documents.
• Attended regular team meetings to update on our daily tasks.
• Involved in code review and document review.
• Participated in and organized activities to ensure social interaction within the team.
