Supplier selection:

• Search for new suppliers based on product and project requirements.
• Carry out supplier assessments. Travelled different locations all over India as required to achieve above.
• Assist and support ongoing improvement of quality management system with approved suppliers.
• Develop and maintain quality systems procedures and process flowcharts, internally and in conjunction with suppliers.
• Provide advice, ensure effective audit and report on performance of quality systems, internally and of suppliers used by each business.

Product development:

• Assist suppliers during new product development. Work with supplier to resolve issues faced during development stages and communicate problems faced by suppliers with engineering department to find resolutions.
• Perform new product inspection and approve it for productions. Prepare and maintain product approval reports.
• Generation, review and verification of production process maps with supplier.
• Maintain register of product approvals. Request for new samples when drawings are revised.
• Provide input and review of (HIM's) handling, inspection and maintenance sheets.
• To interface with other departments (PDG, engineering, etc.) On all quality related issues.

Product inspection:

• Monitor suppliers quality and production control activity.
• Visit suppliers to perform random in process and final dispatch inspection. Carry out detailed inspection and reporting against engineering drawings.
• Review and verification of material test certificates – (MTC’s), in process reports and welding certificates as required.
• Providing accurate monthly reporting on progress and data of; purchase orders, product approvals, NCR’s and capacity to Global Manager.
• Investigation and resolution of customer complaints / quality issues. Raise 8D reports and follow-up / monitor on effective closure of same.
• Perform random incoming inspection in yard. Maintain reports.

Customer site visit:

• Visit customer sites in case of complaints and report findings to engineering departments for review.

Worked in RMD Kwikform Middle East (Sharjah) for 2 years 7 months looking after UAE and India suppliers and then shifted to India permanently to focus on Indian suppliers.

After Shifting to India, roles and responsibility related to my Job profile remained same as mentioned above.

• Inspection of sheet Metal and Presswork components
• Inspection of steel fabrication works.
• Inspection of formworks and scaffolding production.
• Coordinating with customer QA/QC engineer to ensure that customers QA/QC requirements are fulfilled.
• Attending QA/QC meetings with management and Customer.
• Closely monitoring production activities to find out non-conformances and take appropriate remedial actions and report to QA/QC manager.
• Determine root cause of deviations and non-conforming results and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions throughout product development process.
• Responsible for developing new products as per customers’ requirements and get it approved by customer. Prepare process map for various products.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on testing equipment.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing operations while in process and while during new product development.
• Prepare / Review of Inspection & Test Plan for scaffolding production and fabrication works, material verification, all stages of inspection, dimensional inspection, welding inspection and final visual & painting inspection.
• Material inspection: - Inspection of raw material as per procurement order (P.O.) and reviewing of mill test certificate (MTC) and related procurement documents for traceability and conformance to mechanical /chemical properties in accordance with applicable Codes & standard.
• Knowledge of reading and making inspection of First Angle and Third angle projection drawings. Familiar with most measuring/inspection tools, equipment’s & instruments.
• Fit-up Inspection: - Inspection of fit-ups before starting production and in in-process stage with respect to visual, dimensional and orientation compliance as per approved drawings and specifications
• Welding inspection: - Familiar with Welding Processes like SMAW, GMAW.
• Blasting, painting and hot dip galvanizing inspection: - Blasting, painting and galvanizing inspection of various fabricated products and maintaining records for all stages of inspection. paints and galvanizing visual inspection, DFT inspection carried out according to client’s specification.
