Heading the HR team of 10 subordinates for Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station
The accountability of this role is as under the following main areas:
Employee Relations
o Suggest and implement healthy, cordial, and proactive employee relations at the plant.
o Effectively manage contract labour in line with the Labour Laws and as per the organizational requirements.
o Support line managers on handling employee grievances and facilitate resolution of grievances with a view to ensuring industrial
harmony and positive discipline.
o Execute and facilitate disciplinary actions whenever required.
o Change Agent and Zone Leader for successful implementation of 5S.
o Local Liaising with external regulatory bodies like Gram Panchayat, Labour department, Collectorate office, DISH, Apprentice board etc.
o Manage the Welfare & CSR activities.
Statutory compliance
o Implementation of labour laws and adherence of statutory compliance at the plant.
o Impart adequate knowledge of labour laws to the line managers.
o Facilitate compliance audits at the plant pertaining to labour laws.
o Issuing NOCs with respect to statutory compliances to Contractors from tender proposals to bill payments.
o Apprentice Management.
o RTI Compliances.
o Roster Management as per directions of Dept of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of Gujarat.
Management of Litigations
o Manage and monitor labour related court/legal matters at the plant, actively interfacing with Company advocates and legal
counsel.
o Assist in the development of strategy for labour law litigations and facilitate settlement of cases as per organisational expectations.
Business HR support
o Administration of and adherence to human resources policies and procedures.

o Perform a buddy support role for new recruits to the Group. Engaging with them on a regular basis during their first days, weeks and months with the Organization and acting on any areas of concern.
Industrial Relations
o Ensure healthy and effective IR environment through union engagement and evolving practices at the factory.
o To deal with all disciplinary matters (Domestic Inquiry, Show Cause Notices, Court/Tribunal Cases).
o Anchoring the Collective bargaining discussions with the union and signing the LTS as and when due.
o Maintain good relations with relevant external regulatory bodies like labour department.
Contract Labour Management
o Access control of contract labours, MIS generation from SCRUM, analysis, corrective actions and improvement along with follow-ups.
o Handling contractors and contract labour issues related to labour laws, statutory compliances, payment of wages and other
administrative issues.
o Arranging Training and Awareness Sessions for Contractors related to labour laws and amendments from time to time.
Industrial Canteen
o Ensuring hygiene of canteen, physical infrastructure, procurement, and maintenance of canteen equipment.
o Handling internal audits, external audits, and IMS audits.
o Review and implementation of suggestions from canteen committee.
o Involved in full Cycle of Recruitment.
o Maintained overall co-ordination with the clients for smooth business operations.
o Thorough knowledge of the use of Job portals and social media for searching out the resumes according to the provided job description.
o Doing the initial screening of the candidates, if requested by the clients.
