Special Projects done under R&M:

Identified the need for an R&M EHV augmentation initially approved for 100MVA, but upon reviewing load data, determined that a 160 MVA transformer was necessary. Communicated findings to the project initiator and presented a case study supporting the re-approval of the project with the increased capacity. Successfully secured approval for the higher capacity project.

• Managed and oversaw the procurement process, including online tendering, forward/reverse auctions, and vendor management, for a wide range of electrical components such as power cables, OPGW, conductors, C&R panels, hardware, and services from suppliers.

With a tender estimated at approximately Rs 240 Cr and an urgent need for materials, the situation was addressed promptly, negotiating with the L2 supplier to provide the necessary materials at an agreed-upon price. This resolution was achieved within a tight timeframe of 15 days, resulting in significant savings of approximately Rs 50 Cr for the company.
• Additionally, identified forged testing documents from a supplier in collaboration with the engineering department, leading to appropriate action against the supplier.
• Moreover, established a new supplier for hardware and connectors under the 'Vendor Development scheme' to address the challenge of unavailable connectors in the market at an estimated price. This initiative resulted in a cost-saving benefit of Rs 20 Lacs for the company.

• As the head of the meter testing laboratory, oversaw and directed the operations of both single-phase and three-phase meter testing labs, overseeing a team of approximately 10 employees.
• Achieved successful execution of 'Jyotigram Yojana Meter Panchnamas', completing a minimum of 20-25 meter inspections per day.
• Additionally, conducted field installations of Current Transformer (CT) and Potential Transformer (PT) units in various industrial settings, military stations, and along the Indo-Pak border as part of pole installation projects for electrification.
