Additional Information

  • “System of innovation” which is basicallythe interaction between institutions and organizational elements can be understood by different theoretical frameworks of innovation. Through my research interest, I can measure the great potential of the system of innovation approach, along with the conceptual and theoretical problems and weaknesses in the agriculture area. With the help of these theoretical frameworks, I also try to explore new emerging technologies in the agriculture area.
  • Despite considerable attention to agriculture, there is a need to have an analytical tool for a better understanding ofthe whole process from production to distribution of emerging technologies. I took initiatives through my research in understanding technology diffusion, technology adoption, governance structure, socio-economic life of farmers, policy formulation related to R&D, innovation and technological change.
  • ·Keen interest in various research methodologies and data analysis which playsa vital role in knowledge development and validating the study. Data collection methods like in-depth interviews along with other methods likea survey (questionnaire survey), personal and telephone interviews, focused group discussion (FGD) interests me in understanding the motives, beliefs and attitudes, emotions of farmers and policymakers. Further, I am also very much interested in foresight methodologies and the cross-culture study which has improved my Ph.D. research.
