• Collaborated on Automating CAB (Cut & Bent) Rebar bend detection from Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) using the Open-CV Library.Enhanced the Bar Bending Schedule image extraction process for Rebar analysis by implementing advanced filtering techniques, leading to the successful extraction of 100+ high-resolution images used for precise bend detection and ensuring quality control across projects.
• Engineered a sophisticated contour detection algorithm for image extraction that streamlined the identification of CAB shapes; reduced processing time by 50% while enhancing accuracy, enabling quicker decision-making in project phases.
• Developed and trained a Deep Learning Multi-class Image Classification model to classify extracted CAB Rebar shapes into 4 main categories standard, circular, intersecting and overlapping classes respectively.
• Compiled and organized bend count data into a comprehensive Excel file, enabling a structured approach for optimization efforts; the organized data facilitated a 40% faster analysis process leading to actionable insights.
