  • Part of commercial finance(CF) team, own and support in financial planning , budgeting and forecasting process of client in Canada/North America regions for 2 regions, 60 bottlers and 180 stores for client.
  • Year starts with meetings with sales regional directors to understand expected increase in sales volumes by running promos for complete year.
  • Targeted sales(volume) are decided for year by adding percentage of increase in sales with last year sales done
  • Calculation of targeted revenue by adding multiplication of minimum contractual commitment by customer with rates and expected increase in volume.
  • Then provide targeted revenue data to revenue growth management team and explain them calculation behind increase in revenue
  • We do the combined meeting with sales & RGM to freeze the targeted revenue
  • Then we receive inputs from national account executive for promos to be run during the year based on the deal sheet received by customer
  • Computation of volume forecast is done based on the recent trend, seasonality and point of sales(historical) data.
  • Another document called "deal sheet" from client to end finalized, we receive promo creation request from national account executives for entire year, which we update in SAP as per defined timeline and the entire system of creation/modification/deletion of promos are called “trade promotion management”
  • National account executive further updates price point and rebate in their system called Judo, on daily/weekly based on updates they receive from customers for coming weeks and update us
  • We do the banner wise meetings with national account executive on weekly basis to understand the reason of changes in promos to be run, as this will impact the anticipated volume and targeted revenue
  • SAP is being updated by using historical data from tableau and data provided in Judo
  • As promos has been created for the entire year in the 1st quarter of the year, we do the monthly reconciliation with Judo with SAP for changes done
  • Once the promo has been run for the month, we do settlement of the promos against the invoices we receive for rebate settlement from customers by multiplying volume with rebate provided
  • Further rebate is being set up either by accrual (when invoice is not received) and after period and based on deal sheet
  • Release of promos is the last stage of trade promotion management done by us after receipt of invoice info from stores, once the promo is being released it hits in SAP and add revenue and got finally settled
  • Sell in/sell out date of promos guide stores about their stocks to be kept in stores, provide signals to demand planning team about their inventories, revenue growth management team about the revenue and sales team for their targeted revenue
  • Reports:
  • We circulate volume reports to our stakeholders on daily basis which compare the YOY volumes for last year with current year
  • We share multiple reports pertaining to trade promotion management which provide clear picture in the terms of volumes forecasted and their impact on revenue, for example Ad info report, baseline info report, small store and large store volume report, change tracker on weekly basis
  • We also prepare ad hoc report/change of report requested by client
  • Any addition/modification in standard operating process is done for my banner
  • Work and provide data to robotic process automation team for process automation

  • Provide training to my backup for my activity by explaining and recording the process
