Work History

Senior Physiotherapist + Team Lead

Ann Physiocare
London
04.2022 - 03.2025
  • I was working as a Senior Physiotherapist, Team Lead, and an Induction Coordinator (Band 7 Level) during my three years with Ann Physiocare Ltd.
  • As a Team Lead and Induction Coordinator I conducted various educational and clinical meetings to train and supervise junior therapists helping them dissolve in clinical system fluently.
  • I have also participated in the non-clinical aspect of managing the clinic by participating in the marketing domain of the organization.
  • I've treated people with a range of musculoskeletal issues during my time here. Examples include low back pain, osteoarthritis in the knee, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder impingement, cervical radiculopathy, adhesive capsulitis, and numerous ankle problems. In addition, I've treated athletes with tendinopathies, meniscal tears, and ACL reconstruction.
  • My treatment methods were typically hands-on. Some of the techniques I used were manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, Maitland mobilization, combined movements, and Mulligan techniques.
  • I also have knowledge of a variety of electrical therapies, such as TENS, ultrasound, and interferential therapy.

Junior Physiotherapist

Criticare Hospital
Mumbai
06.2019 - 03.2020
  • I was appointed as the junior physiotherapist and saw around 15 to 20 patients daily. I would handle the case load independently.
  • As it was a hospital, I was able to treat patients from different strata of society, which was an advantage. It helped me acquire immense knowledge and experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with different disorders among a wide spectrum of patients.
  • This exposure improved my clinical skills and gave a boost to my confidence as a physiotherapist. My inpatients generally included musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiorespiratory cases.
  • I have also had the opportunity to work in intensive care units. In addition to patients with common complaints such as knee pain, neck pain, and low back pain, I have seen critical patients, such as those suffering from sepsis.
  • I have treated them with physiotherapy maneuvers such as postural drainage and suctioning (oral suction, nasal suction, and ET suction). Fractures, dislocations, tendinopathies, rheumatoid arthritis, ACL injuries, and ligament tears are also conditions that I have had the opportunity to treat.
  • I have also done home visits as a part of my job. I have provided musculoskeletal, neurological, post-surgical, as well as community physiotherapy to patients who are homebound.

Rotational Physiotherapy Intern

KJ Somaiya Hospital
Mumbai
01.2019 - 06.2019
  • Hindu Sabha Hospital, Musculoskeletal OPD: Delivered quality therapy to about 35 to 40 patients every day. Planned and implemented patient-specific protocols, and became skilled at treating spinal impairment using McKenzie under Dr. Reena Shah.
  • Paraplegic Foundation, Sion, Mumbai: Patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological illnesses were given neurological rehabilitation. The patients were given goal-oriented therapies once functional deficits were assessed, to achieve maximum independence.
  • Manav Seva Sangh, NGO: Geriatric and community rehabilitation were carried out. Individuals with degenerative changes received treatment, and environmental changes were made to allow safe ambulation.
  • Leonard Cheshire Disability Home: I worked with a neurologically impaired pediatric group. To accomplish age-appropriate milestones, I combined play therapy with neuro-dynamic approaches.
  • Zen Super Specialty, Musculoskeletal OPD: Patients were treated to optimize their functional status.
